This hat is warm enough for a New England winter with a folded-under cuff to keep your ears cozy. It’s knit stranded in the round as a tube and then bound off at the top using a three-needle bind off to create a gathered star. Got a stash to bust? Yarn requirements:

This hat is knit using as many contrasting colors as you would like! We suggest a minimum of 3 colors. Total yarn needed: 100g/210 yards DK weight 100% wool. We recommend JFM Making Tracks or Farm Fresh.

Suggested Needles:

• 4mm (US6) circular needles with a 16-inch cable and
• 4.5mm (US7) circular needles with a 16-inch cable
• 4.5mm (US7) double pointed needles x3
